Can't deactivate addon

Recommended Posts

I installed the Simple Sitemap module addon but decided not to keep it because it seemed not to include pages outside the core WHMCS pages. I have a purchased theme which includes several pages external to the core that I wanted to include in the sitemap. I chose to go the Screaming Frog route to make my own sitemap.

I cannot deactivate the Simple Sitemap addon. Every time I try, I get the "Oops. Something went wrong" error. I turned on error reporting and got this error message:

*******************

ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function simple_sitemap_deactivate(), 0 passed and exactly 1 expected in /home/qpmedia/public_html/modules/addons/simple_sitemap/simple_sitemap.php:0
Stack trace:
#0 /home/qpmedia/public_html/admin/configaddonmods.php(0): simple_sitemap_deactivate()
#1 {main}

******************

The  addon will allow changes to be made and will save those settings. I just can't deactivate it.

I have submitted a ticket to the addon creator's support but have not heard back yet. Is it a wise idea to simply delete the addon's folder from Modules>Addons?
