Configurable Hosting Package Addon

wim

Question

Hi there

1. I trust it is possible to charge x amount per email account per month with this addon. Right?

2. If so, is it possible for people to upgrade downgrade their account with this addon. For example if you ordered 2 email accounts with a hosting package. Is it possible to upgrade it to 3 or 4 when the client feels it necessary?

3. If so, what happens when a person have say, 4 email accounts active, and wants to downgrade to 3? I guess WHMCS simply pass the command on to WHM (yes, I am using cPanel), right?

4. Anyone has a demo somewhere? Or an active working one would also be fine - then we can just stop before the confirm order.

Thanks

I'm using the 15 day trial with DirectAdmin instead of Cpanel, but I have EXACTLY the same question.

How exactly do configurable options get reports back to the hosting control panel? If a user upgrades their options (adds disc space, ip addresses, whatever...) how does this get changed on the server?

Bump - I'd be interested in seeing this answered as well.

1) Yep, you set the cost per email address.

2) Of course they can upgrade! However, this process isn't automated yet!

3) No, it will calculate any differences, and credit it on a prorated basis from what I remember. Matt has told me that automating it to WHM is in the pipeline.

4) http://www.alloyhosting.com I love this addon ;)
