Change the default value of a costum field

Hi guys


I've created a Costume field of the checkbox type. If it is selected by the customer, SMS notification will be sent to him.

The problem now is that previous clients also need to log into their User Panel edit page and enable this checkbox.
Is there a way I can set this checkbox to be enabled by default for all clients?
