hmgcreative
We recently setup our billing email as an alias for our support email using Gmail as the SMTP provider for WHMCS. After I did this, I started noticing a weird issue. Every time the 'WHMCS Automatic Domain Renewal Successful' goes out it sends a notification to 'billing' from 'support'. I think what is happening is that because billing is an alias for support its showing that it's sending to billing but its actually sending to support. Support is setup to respond to emails by creating a ticket and so it's essentially sending an email to itself which causes it to try and import a ticket every 15 minutes. This basically creates an infinite loop until the ticket is deleted. Now, I've turned off the billing alias for now until I can figure out a better way to set this up. Does any of what I'm saying make sense? Is there a way in WHMCS to change where notification emails go? Should I try using a different SMTP provider? Also, I should mention. Support told me to block the emails using spam control but we still want to get the original notification, we just don't want a ticket to be created each time. Any help you all can provide will be greatly appreciated.
