Admin pop-up shows 'A connectione error...'

Recommended Posts

Using WHMCS v.6.3.1 (yes, I know).

Instead of the normal update pop-up when logging into the admin area, we started seeing 'A connection error occurred. Please try again later.'.

Searching through the forums, it appears this has happened intermittently in the past, but would recover at some point.

We're guessing either 1) our firewall may have started blocking it, but we can't be sure because we have no idea what IP we're trying to get to for the update pop-up display, or 2) updates we haven't installed may have the changed the target IP.

Does anybody have any ideas where to look for an answer?
