WHMCS Version Controlling Issues

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Our company is currently trying to integrate WHMCS on a version control system with little luck. The main goal of us version controlling the WHMCS system is so we can push updates and test them on our DEV server before we deploy them to our main server. Our current problem is whenever updated files are pushed via version control the site ends up locking down due to WHMCS not updating the database when the new version is applied. The site is stuck in a limbo of being in maintenance mode with no way to access the admin panel to update the database schema.

Solutions I am looking for:

*Some way to trigger database schema updates when files are pushed via version control

*a manual way to bypass the maintenance mode to run the updater on the database

Any information would be helpful because it's frustrating that this has never been brought up in forums or the documentation of WHMCS.
