getting error in test mode with credit cards.

here is the error message I'm getting:

 

# The credit card details you entered were declined. Please try a different card or contact support. #

 

the Payment Gateway for my credit card processor is in test mode.

 

here are the cards I'm trying to use via the manual

 

4007000000027 - Visa Test Card

4012888818888 - Visa Test Card II

 

 

the card exp date is 11/08

 

Am I missing something here?

 

I take it the software dosn't ping my processor its just sees the number as says yes or no in test mode?

 

Need help
