Kallb123
We're currently having trouble with the PayPal payment modules, but it doesn't appear to be an isolated incident, so I'm wondering how other people/businesses manage things. The standard PayPal module uses IPNs, which have a 5-20 second delay which results in customers seeing "Unpaid" when they return to the website (until a refresh some seconds later). PayPal have said this delay is to be expected and we should avoid this payment method by using the express checkout option. However, the express checkout option in WHMCS is lackluster at best as it only support the initial payment via the shopping cart. Recurring payments and invoices revert to the standard PayPal module. So how does anyone possibly work with this? Do you redirect to a fake loading page while the customer waits for the IPN to arrive? I have already attempted to turn off "auto-return", but the delay is long enough that most people have clicked "return to merchant" before the IPN gets sent anyway. Just to clarify, this seems to be a problem with PayPal, not WHMCS, but I'm wondering how people work with/around it?
