If not Protx, then what else?

Hi,

 

We'd intended to use Protx as our payment gateway but after finally getting our Streamline account sorted we realise that a Continuous Authority account is needed also. Streamline won't issue a Continous Authority account so my questions are:

 

1) Can we use the Protx module without CA and if so, what are the implications?

 

2) If not Protx then which other gateway(s) are worth considering. We want a direct solution, i.e. does not transfer user to another domain for payment. We also want to process ongoing subscriptions to services without any hassle.

 

Can anyone provide any insights?
