403 error when saving configgeneral.php

I am getting a 403 error when hitting save within configgeneral.php. WHMCS support will not help as they have said it is our hosting providers issue, which is fair enough. Our host has said there are no errors their side (checked LiteSpeed and ModSecurity). Anyone got any pointers as to where to go from here? I am reluctant to move the install to another server, but it might be the only option..

Ours redirects itself to index and doesn't save.

It is making it impossible for us to manage our WHMCS as we can't even save products.

I went through support (spoke with Christopher Downs), they ran their tools, they couldn't find anything.

So then we uploaded a fresh admin folder. It didn't work straight away, but 10-15 minutes after it let us save.

But now once again, it is broken.

I am baffled as to what is causing this.
