Are configurable options without sub-options a real use case?

Hi,

I've noticed that WHMCS allows creating configurable options that have no sub options.

While this makes no sense for radio buttons or dropdowns, for checkboxes the sub option just adds a label for it.

Considering that prices are set for sub options, I'm wondering if it is a real use case for a hosting provider to create

for example a checkbox option without a sub option (e.g. for a free feature).

I'm new to WHMCS module development and WHMCS platform overall.

So I want to know if it makes sense to allow admin linking some plugin provided features directly to a configurable option.

Thanks in advance
