Hot-Fix: CORE-9907 - Prevent fatal error after renewing domains

Recommended Posts

  • WHMCS CEO

We have become aware of an issue affecting the domain renewals process under certain conditions in the recent 6.3.0 release.

The issue causes a fatal error to occur following the successful processing of a domain renewal attempt triggered by payment of an invoice. As a result it does not negatively affect the domain renewal process itself and the domain will be renewed for the requested period.

Domain renewals initiated manually via the admin interface are unaffected by this issue.

When the error occurs, the expiry date for the domain will not be updated following a successful renewal. However, this is only used for informational purposes and so will not affect billing. In addition, providing a domain registrar syncronisation script is being utilised, the expiry date will be updated to reflect the new date upon the next syncronisation run.

A hotfix has been made available to resolve this issue.
