Small problem with Domain Checker: Invalid TLD/Registration Period Supplied for Domain Registration.

First; I did a search on the forums for this issue and got several hits, however they are all pretty old and/or outdated, so that's why I created a new thread for this. Sorry if it's a duplicate.

Anyways, I am testdriving WHMCS so no errors/problems will occur when our new website finally goes live. And I noticed a problem with the domain checker.

When I open the domain checker and enter a domainname (without TLD) it will show if it's available or not. Beneath that it will show the suggested domains.

If I only select the first (available) domainname it works without issues. It doesn't matter which TLD I choose/select. I just add it to the cart and continue without issues.

The problems occur when I select any of the domainnames from the suggested ones. If I add one of them to my cart it will work, but when I select a 2nd, 3rd, etc. It will say: "This domain is already in your shopping cart. Proceed to checkout now to complete your purchase." (alreadyincartmsg).

When I want to proceed, doesn't matter how (Pay now or clicking on my cart) I will get the message: "Invalid TLD/Registration Period Supplied for Domain Registration".

After that I cannot do anything else anymore. The only way to "fix" this, is by changing cart.php?a=view to cart.php?a=empty. Otherwise I can't use WHMCS at all anymore.

The only changes I made to "domainchecker-results.tpl" are CSS related. Didn't change the coding.

What I checked/did/tried so far:

- replaced my domainchecker-results.tpl with the original (unchanged) vanilla version

- checked if the I added registration periods / prices to the TLD's

- only 2 TLD's we "sell" have 2 years registration, the rest is only 1 year

- tested several TLD's from the suggestion part

Everything without success, I always get the same problem. :(

I have no clue what I am doing wrong here, or what I did to get this issue. Also we don't use any real-time registrar functions. We only use the "Standard WHOIS" which is included in WHMCS.

So, does anyone have an idea where to look for this issue/problem? Or point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance!

//update #1

Okay this *IS* weird. I decided to re-upload the original domainchecker.tpl file. But nothing changed (visually). So decided to clear the template cache (and other cache/logs). And reloaded the domain check page. Now it looks normal and works as it should. I can add the suggested domains to the cart without issues. I will investigate a bit more by replacing the CSS modified ones and empty cache again.

Man this is weird. I noticed the problem was being caused by my modified (just and only CSS based changes) domainchecker-results.tpl. So I decided to upload the original one and change the CSS one step at a time. Now the problems are caused whenever I remove all <strong> & </strong> tags from the html. After that I get the problem as described above. Normally this shouldn't matter at all. It's just CSS. :|
