Free 1 Month Trial for products with monthly and yearly options

Hi all,

 

I have WHMCS working with the wpmudev WordPress multi-site integration plugin. All working well.

 

I have setup 2 products, 1 Pro and 1 Starter. Both of these products have monthly and yearly payment options.

 

I would like to have both products offer a 1 month free trial and read in the forums that the best way is to setup promotion codes. I set one up but I am not sure how this would work when the user selects the yearly payment option. I Know that if the user picks a monthly payment option then the discount applies to the 1st month and that's fine but what about when they select the yearly option, I don't want them to get a discount on the WHOLE first year, I just want the first month discounted.

 

Could you please let me know how I can provide a free 1 month trial on a product that can be paid with a monthly or yearly option. Thanks.
