New Version 6 causing cron job lag issues.

Well i updated to 6, and ever since during the cron job i get database errors, database user limit reached and cannot connect to database.

My host evohosting has a user limit of 30 user connections and they assure me that this is adequate for WHMCS which should be dropping the connections as its used them. The cron job takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete.

So what in the new version is causing this.

My Database size 500MB

Client users are about 20,000.

Any help would be appreciated, Because of this issue payments arnt marking as paid and users unable to order servers during the cron job, thats 2 hours downtime a day.
