Hi.

I'm trying to upgrade from an older version to version 6.0.1. I've uploaded the new whmcs folder but when I try to access the upgrade page it displays:

 

Fatal error:

The file /home/*******/public_html/whmcs/upgrade.php was encoded with the PHP 5.3 ionCube Encoder and requires PHP 5.3 to be installed. in Unknown on line 0

 

I have an account with Hostgator and I have php 5.4.x installed. Any suggestions on what I've done wrong?

Ditto... I have PHP 5.4.43 installed and was performing a full install of 6.0.1 on top of 5.3.12

I called Host Gator and the tech installed php 5.3 "along side" the other php. I have no clue what that means but it worked. (I gave the error code too)

Basically in cPanel, go to Advanced then select the PHP version you would like to use.

I tried this and it worked perfectly. Once I was done installing, I switched back to PHP 5.5.27 and everything seems to be working properly still.
