Enable NAT to use External IP

Hi, was wondering if there is a way to use the external IP of WHMCS instead of the local IP which seems to be registered with my version I've just installed. The reason is most API connections are pulling the local machine IP or the IP that is bound to the hosting account from the local network. I know CPanel has a check mark (NAT) where you can place your external IP Address from NAT, any idea's on how to make this happen within WHMCS?

The hosting is on a shared IP hosting Windows server running IIS 8. IP address has been allocated but it's still running through NAT.

thx,

Jim
