Server Module - Custom functions don't work without adding them to ClientAreaCustomButtons

I have developed a server module but the problem is my custom functions don't work without adding them into ClientAreaCustomButtonsArray. I use form submits and a links to run functions. For example I have a function for sending messages to server. It requires a paramater and I run this function through forms. But as I said it doesn't work without adding the function to ClientAreaCustomButtonsArray.

 

Is there any way to register a function to whmcs without adding it to custom buttons array?
