esl
Hello. I would like to change the homepage width. If you go to eslhosting[dot]net/helpdesk/ you will see how on the header I had to add to both sides of the links because it didn't look right without it. I need to adjust the table width for the midsection so that it can move the part where it says Help Desk over more to the right and thin the middle some. Also, any input on how it looks it appreciated.
Jordan
You're going to have to locate the directory of the template you are using, and then edit various .tpl files in that directory. Some of the basic ones off hand are: homepage.tpl header.tpl footer.tpl The problem with the current template system, is that Matt is using tables throughout the website, and has predefined "styles" in them... Which means you have A LOT of files to go through to fix them up. If you know what you're doing, you'll have no problem going through and fixing things up. )
esl
I have tried editing some of the table %s and stuff with no success. Could SOMEONE PLEASE give a specific thing to edit? Jordan, thanks for trying to help.
Jordan
You're going to need to link the website you're having problems with in order for people to help you out. Regardless, Matt has the table set with pixel width, and not percentages. The main things to edit will be under homepage.tpl, clientarea.tpl, header.tpl, footer.tpl. If you still can't get that to work, remove the tables and use DIVs styled through CSS.
esl
Just got it one minute ago. The header image had to be reduced and the pixel length also for it to work, which I have no clue why I didn't give it a try. Care to tell me what you think of it? Thanks Jordan... eslhosting.net/helpdesk
