Importing entire client database with credit card #s

Question

Hi,

I've looked at a few billing systems inc. MB (can't find my way around it) & AWBS and this looks the best so far as long as I can get my data into it. Can WHMCS import from an relatively unknown billing system Optigold? I will create custom export CSV files and then import directly into WHMCS's DB if necessary? I'd like to import all data including history, server settings, etc. I will figure out how to match up DB fields. I noticed the CC's are encrypted, can I import plain text then have it encrypt?

Is it possible to create using the dev kit, the ability to call custom scripts to perform server setups, changes, cancellations?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

We can develop custom CSV import scripts to work with your data. Open a ticket for information on that. You cannot import CC's in plain text and have them work in WHMCS.

Using the dev kits you can create your own server modules so that the functions in your module are run for the various server related functions for that product.

Back to the CC's again is it possible to pre-encrypt the CC's before import? Can I duplicate the WHMCS encryption externally with any key if necessary to process my CC's beforehand? Is it using mcrypt or similar?

Thanks

Dave

I opened a ticket today so we can import our customers billing info be it CC or Check it seems a lot of this was not imported and now I see why. Can we get the script to do it our self or do you have to have access to our server to do this?

The Kay in MB seems to be in plain text passwords and CC are not so like when you run rebills just give it your password and it should be able import them or am I looking at this wrong. My first week using WHM. ;)

Also will they be re encrypted once moved in your formate or is there a mass way to do this if not?
