Different Customer Fields for Different Products

(Sorry if this has been asked before - we searched and could not find anything that answered this)

Hello,

We sell multiple products through WHMCS.

For some products the checkout shopping cart is fine i.e. asking for name / address / phone number etc etc

However for some of our products all we really require is a name and email address and people are uncomfortable leaving more info such as address etc etc.

Is there anyway we can have seperate checkout carts for separate products? We know we can edit the templates etc but how would we get the actual checkout cart to work - we only see it being changeable via general settings.

So for clarification product 1 needs to get from the client name / address / telephone / email / country etc etc

Product 2 needs to get client name and email address.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks

I think the best option for these circumstances is to create separate Product/Service Groups. From the settings within the group you can select a different order form template. So for product 1 you can use order form template A and for product 2 you can use order form template B. Then you can modify template B to not require anything but the name and email. For more information about Product Groups go here.
