defiant
Hello, We have a number of clients and currently the stock control is disabled. So how to take into account initial product sales in new stock control settings?
Alex - Arvixe
I think I understand what you're trying to do but if not, can you elaborate? You could look at how many of something you have and limit based on that but if you're unsure on how many you've got: 1. You can use the reports feature to filter out Services, count how many you've got, how many is in use and base the stock on that. 2. Go to Clients -> Product/Services -> Search/Filter -> *Filter out a specific product & status: Active* -> Count how many actives and deduct that from your stock
defiant
Hi, Thanks for replying. Here is the scenario. We have 40 product units, and all of them are sold and so out of stock at the moment. Now I have to implement stock control. What do I set as the Quantity in Stock. Is it 0 or 40? Also lets say if one person cancels his account with us, so the current stock will be 1. So will people be able to purchase the product from us?
WHMCS Ryan
Stock control only works if it was implemented from the start and cannot be enabled retro-active after the quantity have already been sold. Even if you had stock control enabled from the start, the quantity would only reset if the product was cancelled before it was made active. If it is cancelled after it was activated then you would have to manually adjust the quantity. In your scenario you could set the quantity to 0 to prevent new orders but if someone cancelled you would have to set the number back to 1 manually. --Thanks
