Using custom email template when a ticket is opened

Hello,

 

I am using the 'openticket' API to open a ticket.

 

Instead of using the hard-coded subject and message for the email being sent, I want to use one of the email templates that I have saved in the 'Email Templates' section of the admin panel.

 

I looked through the API but did not find anything that does this.

 

Does anyone know how I could go about doing this?
