Slow checkout process

I currently have my WHMCS install in test mode. I have it set to take the client to their invoice once the order is processed. When you submit an order it takes about 25-30 seconds for it to complete the order. Is this due to the test mode? We currently have the settings through 2checkout but will be using Authorize.net when we go live. I just wanted to check to make sure before we go live that it was not this slow.

Thank you.

Hello,

I did place a test order (it should be pretty obvious so be sure to delete it) and it did seem fairly slow. I would change the configuration to test with the gateway module you plan on using and see if that helps and then maybe check the gateway logs for any error that you may be getting that could be causing these issues.

--Thanks

@WHMCS-Ryan - I was able to figure out what was causing the system to run slow. I changed the mail type from SMTP to phpmail and it only takes about 1-2 seconds, versus 15-20+.

I am worried about this because I have read a lot about issues with phpmail, including the mail ending up in spam folders. We obviously need our clients to receive the email in their inbox, since they are required to take more steps before their account is set up.

Any idea's here?
