netmass
Hi all, I have a brand new install of WHMCS. I have an authorize.net account (not new) and I can create invoices and successfully charge a credit card using the Authorize.net gateway module. This means that my authorize.net login and transaction key values are correct. However... I also pay for the Authorize.net CIM module and it shows as enabled in my Authorize.net merchant portal. My goal is to have only one payment gateway on the WHMCS system... the Authorize.net CIM module. My understanding is that once this is configure and working, then no credit cards will be stored in the local database. This is not working for me. New customers who sign up on their own and enter CC information get that info stored in the local database. I can tell because I can decrypt the entire card if I put in the proper string decryption string. Customers that I create manually also have their CC stored in the local database. No Authorize.net CIM profiles are created (I verify through the Authorize.net portal). Further, I do not see any logging that would indicate that it occurs. If I try to charge a card using the Authorize.net CIM gateway, the charge failes because the profile is non-existant. Does WHMCS create the customer profile and put the card in Authorize.net CIM? How can I debug this and get it working such that new customers who sign up through the portal AND customers that I manually add will get their CC details stored in Authorize.net CIM and Not in the local database? Thanks in advance, - Steve
vortex2000
Hi Steve, There are a few things you can check to narrow down the issue. 1. Do you have both the Authorize CIM and regular Authorize gateways active? 2. Does your payment gateway say Authorize.net CIM (One-Time Payment) or just Authorize.net CIM? 3. Is "Validation Mode" set to "None"? 4. Is "Test Mode" unchecked? Viewing your shopping cart would provide a better understanding of your setup, however this should give you a good start on debugging. Hope it helps. - Jeremy
