merlinpa1969
Hello, I have been testing this unban module and have ran across some weird behavior. It removes IP's from the Config files like a chanp ( exception is that it never says its successful, you get an error message and red alert box but it DOES work ) Next we test it with the cpanel bruteforce and it works just like they want it. it removes IP's from the Blacklist table ( still displays the error message ) the only issue I see here is that the IP's in the Blacklist are put in the system manually by the system administrator, Not sure why you would want to let your clients remove IPS that you manually and purposefully blacklisted. When we asked WHY you wouldnt remove from the BAN table ( this is the table where the bruteforce system adds temp IPS for folks that screw up their pasword and just keep hitting it ) These are the IPS that our clients SHOULD be able to remove since they got added there by their own oops. and we were told that its not a priority since we are the ONLY ones asking about this, I just want to find out if anyone else has actually tested this with the config and bruteforce? If a customer gets blocked for failing email login and they get tossed in the Configserv firewall and the bruteforce, they would then come in and use the unban feature, it removes them from configserv but NOT bruteforce since they are in the Ban table not the Blacklist table. now they come back and scream at me because their site is down.
