WHMCS migration to new server

Hello,

We plan on migrating our www server to another, new host where we have also WHMCS.

Nothing else will change (domain will stay the same, etc.), it will be just new www server.

So what is the process of migration WHMCS platform to new server?

As for SQL I assume I just need to do export to .sql, then import that to new SQL server.

And what about www files (php)? Just copy everything from old host to new www host?

We have already prepared our DNS for migration by setting TTL to 300 seconds right now.

Do either of your servers use a control panel like cPanel? If so you could just use the transfer feature built into cpanel and that would migrate your web files and database. If not you could then you just need to take a backup of you database and move it from old host to new host, restore the DB, and then move all the web files. The process is no different than moving any other site with a SQL database to a new host. You just want to make sure your new host is fully ready when you move and that you test the new site before you change the DNS.

You can find more information in our documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Licensing
