totallytech
Hey Guys, I'm looking at selling web design packages, and configuring the services and billing via WHMCS.... http://totallytech.it/web-services/website-design For example: 3 page website2 years of .co.uk name 1 year of hosting 10 email addresses Usage stat counters Full e-mail support Ongoing charge: £36 p/a £99 one off charge So, I'm looking to take £99 today and then in a years time £36.... I've created a product which shows the price as £63 set up charge + £36 price (so £99 today) however what I'm looking for is a better display. I've trialled this with my customers and they get confused as they see £63 then £36 - even though the "to pay today" is £99 they arent really sure.... Is there a way to do this? My shopping cart shows: Website Design - 3 Page Package (testesssdd.co.uk)[Edit Configuration] [Remove] £36.00 + £63.00 Setup Fee Domain Registration - testesssdd.co.uk - 2 Year/s [Configure Domain Extras] [Remove] £0.00 Subtotal: £99.00 Total Due Today: £99.00 Total Recurring: £36.00 Annually £12.99 Biennially People dont like the setup fee..... Any ideas? Thanks Edited May 8, 2014 by totallytech
Alistair
Could you use a bundle? Bundles allow you to give your client 1 order URL for two separate products. So you could have your £99 package as a one-time payment product, and bundle it up with a £36 annually recurring product. When you configure the bundle, you can override the price so that £36 becomes £0 (I think it would invoice the client for £36 in a years time, but I'm not 100% sure without testing it). You can create a bundle by going to: Setup > Products/Services > Product Bundles
rodeoXtreme
We utilize bundling for multiple products with the stated method. It makes a cleaner order process for the customer, especially with "one time" products such as the setup fees. Cheers
totallytech
I tried that, I also have to have a recurring domain name set up too, so i have a £99 package, with a domain name set to 0 and hosting set to 0... when trying to buy the bundle its really unclean... I'll keep playing though, maybe i've missed something
