Whois question

Hello,

 

Iam thinking of buying WHMCS, but first have a small question.

For the dutch (.nl domains) domains there is a limit for whois requests to there server. You can only do x requests for complete whois.

If you dont want to have this limit you need to change a small thing.

The command to run is then:

whois is DOMAIN

Instead of

whois DOMAIN

. This only returns if the domain is free or not.

I would like to know if this is possible, or not.

If not possible I would like to know that if there is another option to have a working whois for dutch domains.

no and yes.

 

By not possible I mean, just by entering the info as you would normally in WHMCS.

 

To get around it, you can write a short script to wo "whois is paul999.nl" from an external script and modify the whois server list to point to the custom script to parse it.

Generate a new whoisservers.php directly form database, with universal whois server, e.g. http://searchy.protecus.de/whois/?domain=xxxxxx
