WHMCS Invoices Not Reaching Mailboxes

I've been having real problems with sending emails from WHMCS.

If I create a new message it seems to get through (sometimes) but when I send invoices/quotes/billing reminders they don't even hit the mailboxes. I don't know if there is something wrong with my config or something else.

This has to be the most frustrating thing when trying to set up a new business so I have to find out what's wrong. I currently have a few customers who essentially aren't paying for hosting until I solve this.

Steps I have done to try and solve the problem are:

  1. Used php mail
  2. Changed to SMTP using my mail server name (DNS record pointing to my host mail server)
  3. Changed SMTP config to point at my hosts mail server
  4. Checked rDNS for the IP of my mail server and it points to my host mail server
  5. Enabled SPF in cPanel - It says 'Your current raw SPF record is : v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:<ipAdress> ?all'

WHMCS has reference to all the mails being sent, new messages or invoices/quotes/billing reminders. I can also see successful delivery messages in cPanel email tracing.

Mail going to spam is one thing but not even showing up is a nightmare.

Can anyone help please?

This is server admin 101 - check your mail logs to see what's happening to the messages from WHMCS. Are you delivering mail locally on your own server when in fact the customer's mail is hosted somewhere else? etc If you can't get this figured out you'll need some consultancy.
