Updating databse through API

Hi

 

I'm creating an email pipe for a provisioning module.

 

I want it to update the 'dedicatedip' field with an ip address that comes through in the email.

 

I am using the code;

 

$table = "tblhosting";
$update = array("dedicatedip"=>$ipaddress);
$where = array("domain"=>$domain);
update_query($table,$update,$where);

 

I have included the init.php file. And I can do other database queries (updating username in the same way)

 

Is there anything stopping the dedicatedip from updating or something else that will reset/overwrite the dedicatedip field?
