Running WHMCS on AWS instances

Hi!

 

I would like to build a redundant and scalable WHMCS service.

Therefore I would like to install WHMCS on several AWS instances

and have all these instances connect to the same RDS MySQL DB.

 

As all data is stored in the MySQL DB, I guess this could work.

 

However, there are 3 directories that need to be writable for

the world:

 

downloads/

attachments/

templates_c/

 

I'm not exactly sure what these directories are for and also can

not find it easily in the documentation. Can someone point me in

the right direction here?
