paywhir
Hello all, I am looking for online accounting software or plugin for my customers to be able to add and check their funds balance in my website and also to use it to make future purchase or withdrew it back to themselves then i got WHMCS from my web host. Is this good for the above needs or WHMCS is just for domain and web hosting services alone? Any idea if this could give me the above services? I will appreciate if any could help or suggest a suitable software or plugin for me to use that i can easily integrate into my wordpress site. Again, Thank you! Alex - Arvixe
Hello Paywhir, One big advantage of WHMCS is it is very flexible in terms of design / functionality. You can use WHMCS to sell / offer just about anything (albeit primarily built for web hosting / design services). You can create a "general" order form (no modules used for account creation or you could create a module to automate this process if you have services that go WHMCS would be fine for the needs you explained above, they will have the ability to add / check funds, purchase non-hosting/domain related products etc... - You can also quite easily adjust the client area design of WHMCS to push the features you would use more (Such as the balance they have in their account so its more visible, create links for withdrawal requests (this can be done via tickets with custom fields such as: payment gateway, payment address, amount to withdraw etc...). As for WordPress integration, are you looking to just implement your designs (to make the WHMCS area match WordPress) or are you wanting to integration logins (login-share) or both? Feel free to reach out to me anytime (my email is in my signature) if you want any help relating this and I'll offer you some tips / advise. paywhir
@Alex - Arvixe, Thank you for your reply and for clarifying that whmcs can indeed meet my needs, I would appreciate if you or any could show me some links, tips or advise on: 1. On how to create modules for automate account creation? 2. On how i can adjust the client area design to push the features i would use must and hide the domain checker in the front page for it to only be available when clink on it's link? 3. On how to integration with WordPress, both to match WHMCS area with WordPress and to integrate logins (login-share)? Alex - Arvixe
Hi, 1. On how to create modules for automate account creation? -> This would really depend on what product / service you are selling - if it is some sort of control panel or shipping service you can use the APIs to create a module in WHMCS which would then perform certain triggers based on that to automate the process. Here is a documentation for creating modules: http://docs.whmcs.com/Creating_Modules If you are selling products though (physical goods) chances are this is not automated as you have to manually ship out products so you can set each order to require manual activation / approval though the order process, creating of a client area account is still fully automated regardless. 2. On how i can adjust the client area design to push the features i would use must and hide the domain checker in the front page for it to only be available when clink on it's link? -> To hide the domain checker on the front page navigate to: Setup -> General Settings -> Domains tab and UNCHECK the fields: Allow clients to register domains with you, Allow clients to transfer a domain to you & Allow clients to use their own domain - Scroll down & click save. You can adjust the designs by navigating to: Login your website control panel -> File Manager -> Locate your WHMCS directory -> Templates -> *Open the template you are using* -> Depending on which page you want to modify you will select the template and change the contents there. To enable the "Funds" system navigate to: WHMCS ACP -> Setup -> General Settings -> Credit tab and fill in those fields to your requirements. For advanced design changes (to show credit balance etc... see #1) 3. On how to integration with WordPress, both to match WHMCS area with WordPress and to integrate logins (login-share)? For design integration try this company: http://whmcsintegration.ca/index.php - Also specify all the changes you want made (account balance/funds being on the dashboard etc...). Tell them exactly how you want it to look and they will quote you for it. For login-share I will do a search for an up to date module to do this and will update you shortly. @Alex - Arvixe, Thank you for your reply and for clarifying that whmcs can indeed meet my needs, I would appreciate if you or any could show me some links, tips or advise on: 1.
