DarrenC
Any web designers using WHMCS that give some advice ?? I've used WHMCS for a few years now, but I dont think that I'm using it in the best way. I'm a web designer, and offer hosting too. How do you implement the different services? I have previously collectively put the design and hosting in one product, but now I'm thinking about seperating them to 2 product - 'Website Design' and 'Website Hosting'. The website hosting is easy, as I can keep that as a product with recurring fees How do you bill website design? Should I use an Addon Product? Do I create another Product for 'Web Design' ? How do you guys do this on your system ?
Alex - Arvixe
There are a couple ways you can do this depending on how you offer your web design services. If you offer fixed prices you could create a new group and add all of your different packages into that group, when you get to the billing tab select "One Time" payments and insert that payment into the first pricing field. If you charge a fixed price per page designed you could set up configurable options and specify the pricing their, on the order form they can select x pages and be invoiced for that. If you do a "get a quote based on work" type design service you could utilize the in-built quotes feature (See here: http://docs.whmcs.com/Quotes) Another alternative is using this official addon ($99.95 one time) which includes time tracking & billing features.
