Platform
Hi guys First post and from a non-techy so please go easy! After 5 yrs of trading, i'm finally in the process of having a website put in place. It's your typical brochure style site however, we are also looking to implement a secure client area. We want clients to be able to amend their contact numbers/email/address etc as well as secure messaging, both of which I know WHMCS can do as standard. Additionally, we're looking for a couple of accountant specific features. One of which i'll copy direct from the initial request given to our web guy: 'Accounts section where self-employed clients with no official business banking facilities have the ability to submit various financial details on a monthly or annual basis (annual would only need to be made available as an option post April every year for those that have not filed monthly). At the end of the process, an indicative tax/NI calculation would be auto-generated based on the info supplied. Upon viewing this, the client would then have the option to officially submit the data (which would then be locked down unless approved for re-edit by me) or to amend the data and generate a revised calculation. Upon submission, I would then need an excel file to be generated in a particular format detailing the self-emp inc/exp ready for bulk upload to my bookkeeping software.' Can WHMCS be customised to handle something like this? It was my web guy who suggested it could and he's soon to start implementing it but our relationship has deteriorated somewhat of late so now i'm questioning his decision. We're not looking for any billing or invoicing capabilities, this is simply to help manage basic client data and more importantly help streamline some of our more regular processes. Thanks, Kev PS said web designer is actually a member on here - if you see this I hope you won't take offence, needs must....
