Ticket Customization - Subject is Department Name only First Letter Appearing

Okay so i have an issue with my ticket area, I am trying to customize it so that the Subject is auto-filled (and hidden) with the department name. I can do the hiding, i got that done. But the auto-filling it with the Department name is technically working but its not...

 

So the Department Name I have is 'Hardware Upgrade Check' but in the subject field that shows up as only 'H' another is 'Mobile Number Change' it shows up at 'M'

   			</div>

	</div>

 

Thats my code, so its showing calling for the department name, but only the first letter shows up.
