[RESOLVED] Cant add products after upgrading to WHMCS v5.2.3

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just upgraded to WHMCS v5.2.3 and now I cant add or change products through the administrator. When I try to do so I get an "Internal Server Error" message. (Error code 500) This happens on clientsservices.php and ordersadd.php

I've been in touch with WHMCS and they told me to check the server logs, I'm using Windows IIS6 with PHP 5.2.17 and there is nothing in the logs. I've check the PHP logs, W3 logs and the Windows Event Viewer. It appears to be a bug as I see other people on WebHostingTalk had the same problem after upgrading. Does anyone know if there is a fix or how I can try to fix this? I've had no luck yet with WHMCS support.

Thanks

Hello,

In case anyone else has this problem, I was able to fix it by upgrading from IIS6 to IIS7.

At first I thought it was a bug with PHP, my old server (IIS6) was using PHP 5.2.17 my new server (IIS7) was using 5.3.19. So I copied PHP 5.3.19 to my old server (With the same paths, permissions ... etc) and I got the exact same error. So this seems to be a compatibility issue with WHMCS 5.2.3 and IIS6.

I hope this saves someone else from pulling their hair out!

Thanks
