Email reply to Tickets

Hi Folks

 

Is there a way to set up WHMCS so that when the Email arrives from the system when a customer has opened a ticket, to reply to the Email and to get the reply to update the ticket, rather than having to login to the console and update the ticket there?

Thanks, JS-James for the quick reply. I'm not using cPanel on this server. Does this mean I need to install an IMAP server before mail will work?

 

No, cPanel is not required. The examples show how to configure it via cPanel, but the functionality isn't exclusive to cPanel though.

 

It sounds as though you're using a 3rd-party mail service. If so, and you don't have a mail server running on your WHMCS server to ultimately do the piping, you could simply enter the POP3 details of the departmental accounts and setup the cron task to pull and process the remote mail.
