WHMCS JamesX
Change the currencies and pricing appropriately to something else so that you can delete it. __ EDIT __ A reply comes before the OP, eh?!? o_O Edited January 23, 2013 by WHMCS JamesX
itomic
I want to delete a currency (GBP) from WHMCS, but when I try to delete it, I get the following message: "You cannot delete a currency that is in use by clients" I understand why this is. The good news is that our WHMCS installation is effectively still in beta testing, so (I think) data such as orders can be safely deleted. This being the case, what's the most effective way to resolve this issue so that I can delete GBP as a currency? Thanks, Ross.
itomic
Thanks for your reply. To be more specific - it's about understanding specifically what records that I have to delete or edit to be able to achieve this. For example, if I looked at all (mostly dummy) orders in the system and deleted any that had chosen GBP as the payment currency - would this (alone) fix the problem? And/or do I have to review the pricing of all products and services and delete all reference to GBP there? Naturally I don't want to do any more work than I have to!
WHMCS JamesX
You need to make sure that it's not associated with active products/services, etc. As for the products/services themselves, the currency will be removed from them when you delete the currency. As the error says, it's looking at products/services attached to clients. Also, you may need to ensure hat no client has that currency set as their default. itomic
Thanks. Problem solved! I used the Search/Filter feature to see only clients with GBP as the default currency. There was only 1. I changed their currency to AUD, then successfully deleted GBP as a currency.
