Trouble with pop connection

Can anyone suggest anything please?

 

My tickets cron job is failing. I'm using the pop checker and it generates this error:

I've spoken to whmcs support who suggest it is something wrong with my server however this is a new server setup as of this morning. Last week I've been trying to get this working and I've used a reseller cpanel linux account which generated the same error. My new server is a plesk linux account but with a totally different company, different datacenter and different O/S so I struggle to think its a server issue.

 

I've checked the firewall on my new server and there is nothing in the logs.....

 

Any ideas?
