Auth.net "Authorize and hold for review" interpreted as Declined in WHMCS

We've just setup an Authorize.net account in conjunction with the WHMCS module to process credit card payments, but we're having some trouble getting WHMCS to recognize Auth.net response codes correctly.

We have Auth.net set to process all transactions as "Authorize and hold for review" (authorize but do not auto-capture), in order to review and accept/deny each transaction manually.

This type of response should come back to WHMCS as Approved, however the module interprets it as Declined, and does not mark the related invoice paid. It seems that the only response the module considers good is a full "authorize+capture successful" response.

Does anyone know how we can have WHMCS process "authorize only" transactions successfully?

Many thanks for any tips!

I'm in the same boat. I'd like to have credit card processing setup so that an order's creditcard is automatically verified and then that order should wait in the "Orders" page to be manually Accepted by our staff. Your solution to do it from Authorize.net's side seems like it should do this, but it would be good to know how would WHMCS handle the actual capture after the verification?

Thanks!
