HostT
Being as though we try to take a proactive approach at preventing exploitation of our clients or their software, I created a bash script to quickly download and patch the latest security vulnerability in 5.1 related to the Google Checkout module. I'm currently feeding it a list of installations to patch and it works flawlessly on our CentOS 5/6 servers. I released a single version as some people may only need just to patch one installation. When I add the optional arguments I will add the list feature, should push it in the next day or two. WHMCS Security Advisory Thread: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?64778-Security-Advisory You can find the free open source script on my GitHub: https://github.com/tripflex/scripts/blob/master/patchwhmcsgc It's been a while since I did any bash stuff and felt this was a great candidate for future enhancements. I plan to add MD5 checking, support patching multiple vulnerabilities, and a scanner that will search an entire directory for pattern matches similar to WHMCS installations.
