Protx and CA accounts

Question

Hi

At present we have a Continuous Authority HSBC merchant account and use Protx as the gateway.

Protx dont support CA transactions however for HSBC. In the past we have been able to repeat transactions by just submitting the card details (card number, expiry date) each month which worked fine without doing any CVV checks.

Can you confirm if this will work with WHMCS or will I need to move to a merchant account where CA is supported by Protx?

If so, can you advise of any other gateway in the UK like Protx that WHMCS supports that will allow me to use my HSBC CA account?

With the ProtX gateway, you will indeed need a continuous authority vendor id in order for repeat payments to be taken automatically. One vendor ID is used for first time payments in which 3D Secure authentication is performed and then a second vendor ID is used for the repeat payment requests. And that second vendor ID has to have the continuous authority on it.

That is what I was worried about, I am not sure why Protx dont support HSBC CA accounts.

Do you have any plans to support the HSBC e-payments gateway (HSBC's own gateway)?

If not, do you know of any other gateways that you support that will work with my HSBC CA account?

We bank with HSBC and have contacted other banks about their merchant accounts but they seem to have unreasonable terms.

Thanks

Jon
