404 And redirecting other pages

I purchased the WHMCS Pages module already a few weeks back.

I thought I had resolved things and made adding pages a breeze.

I will say that it is easy enough to create pages.

I am not completely crazy in love with the WYSIWYG editor.

With it had more of the features I read about in the Super TinyMCE editor to make adding images and more layout options possible.

But I digress.

The one problem I am having that this module is not solving is the ability to handle the 404 errors.

It gives a 404 error page but I am not able to edit it. The author has not replied to a ticket that I posted about it not allowing editing of the 404 page and it seems to hijack the 404 traffic. So if I keep using that module it seems like it will kill any other module that I might get to handle 404 pages.

I tried adding code to the .htaccess file and it caused a 500 error when it did a redirect attempt.

Any ideas and suggestions?
