Multiple Modules

CP-Chris

Question

Hi,

I am currently looking to move from ModernBill v4 to another billing provider. My two main worries are how smooth is the move from one billing system to another?

We are currently using:

ModernBill with the modules:

TCAdmin

ProTX

PayPal

Kayako Loginshare & Intergration into Modernbill Client Area

How easy is the move across? Will credit card batches still work once we move or will clients have to re-import CC details etc? Ive seen from other posts that there is some form of Kayako integration which solves that issue. Another great thing is you support the other modules as well as a fully working protx :) We have about 1500 clients to move across so we basically want it to go smoothly as possible.

My other question is about the modules you support. One major problem we found with ModernBill is it will only support one module on one order form. So if for example we wanted to integrate CPanel and TCadmin on one order we couldn't (for example client gets web hosting with a game server purchase). I am really tired of setting up Web hosting manually for our clients :( is this possible here?

Other smaller questions are:

How do cancellations work? I saw the demo with the request for cancellation, do you basically have to approve it once a client requests it and then it will automatically remove there server when they request (end of cycle or straight away)?

In a real life example, a client cancels a PayPal subscription.. what happens in WHMCS? Does it contact the user? Set them as cancelled? Or does it wait till it doesn't receive a payment and then suspend them due to no payment?

Think thats everything for now.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Chris,

It's fairly easy to move accross the bulk of your clients data using our automated import script. If you want to move CC details aswell though, then you're going to need our professional import service. Open a ticket about that.

In answer to your questions:

1. You are not limited to only one module on the order form - you can have products using all the different modules at the same time.

2. Cancellations can be automated. If enabled, it will terminate the account when the cron runs either the next day for the immediate option or at the end of the billing cycle for the other option. Or you can of course process it manually if you prefer.

3. WHMCS will do nothing when a client cancels their subscription, but it will then show overdue on your admin homepage once it becomes overdue and the client will be emailed at that time also reminding them they are due to pay.

Hi Matt,

I have thrown in a support ticket requesting the cost. Attached in the support ticket is some information concerning Kayako's attempt at now building a intergration if your at all interested.

Just another question really, What will happen to the clients already in the system who are setup using Modernbill and TCAdmin? Will there link with the billing system no longer work?
