Bug Report or Designed This Way?

I am running WHMCS version 5.0.3.

A quote can be created that specifies a Quantity, Description and Unit Price. When converting to an invoice, the example entries of 10.5, Test and 5500.00 in the three fields get concatenated to "10.5 x Test @ 5500.00" (without the quotes).

If I remember correctly, WHMCS never allowed this format for an invoice. I am assuming that when quotes were added to WHMCS, the invoicing system was never changed to accommodate the quote format; the quote format was converted to match the existing invoice format.

Is there a way that WHMCS can be configured to allow an invoice to use the structure QTY, Description and Unit, like the quote?
