ninak
For the past three days we have had attempts from two IP's to enter our system. They have attempted to enter admin whmcs/admin manager Thank goodness that we don't use those file names. If any body wants to see those IP's I will post them. I have now created a shtml page that these are redirected to and have indicated that they will be reported.

ninak
http://docs.whmcs.com/Further_Security_Steps#Change_your_WHMCS_Admin_Folder_Name Will help avoid the situation completely. Yes these work very well and they do work for WHMCS but the warning is still there for people who use these these terms in other parts of there web. I did state that they tried to use these and not that they were successful. There is also a large amount of people searching using the words powered by. So we all have to be very careful.
jrianto
Allowing access to only your own IP address to the administration area is also a good added security.
