Custom navigation items

Hi,

 

I am fairly new at this, but I was wondering how you would create custom menu items in the main header nav menu for your products, addons, custom pages, etc.

 

Do any of you have any experience in doing this, or have a place that you can point me to get started? I tried looking through the docs but I didnt really see anything specific to this area.
