WHMCS as non-hosting shopping cart

Hello,

 

I keep reading on your sales pages that WHMCS can be used to sell any product not just web hosting.

 

But the only places I keep seeing WHMCS being used in on web hosts.

 

So can I have a list of some websites that are using WHMCS exclusively for non hosting transactions? Not a combo of hosting and other items, but strictly non hosting.

 

Plus does it work out of the box for non-hosting, or does it need some customization? If customization is required is it simple click/uncheck this and that, or do you have to roll up sleeves and get under the hood (coding)?

yes you can, however whmcs still being used primarly to serve webhosting industry.

 

although you can sell other non-hosting related products, you would still need to adjust some language being used in whmcs and some tricks getting your product show up as normal product showcase (because whmcs doesn't came with any product image upload)
