PayPal creates a transaction but no recurring payment

Hi - I'm testing my new installation, using PayPal Pro as a payment . In the PayPal sandbox I see a transaction, but there is no recurring payment profile. I just treats the purchase as a one time transaction. Does anyone know that the issue is? I do have the product set up as recurring (yearly).
